I'm sorry, but if I hear we recorded 75 songs and picked the best 12 again I am going to literally bite my ear off. Does anyone know how to theme an album anymore (i.e. The Blueprint, 808's & Heartbreak, N***er, My Life, Etc.)?
I know that you have found yourself on more than one occasion listening to an artist and wondering why the song sounds just like something another artist was singing? Well, its because nobody writes or produces their own music anymore. No disrespect to those dudes, but I'd rather listen to an artist who can come up with a theme and lay 13 hot songs in line with it, than someone who records a gazillion songs, just to pick 11 that fill up dead air.
Sorry, just my opinion. Somebody get the A&R's some coffee please.
